Narrator Jonathan Lipnicki does a terrific job as the young student facing his worst nightmare of a teacher: Mrs. Green (and she is) scratches her name on the blackboard with claws, incinerates students with her breath, and teaches fractions by dividing a student in half. Diana Canova performs this slithering teacher with evil glee, and the horror-movie background music perfectly enhances the chilly effect. This funny story might calm teacher anxiety simply by making students grateful they won't get Mrs. Green. J.C.G. (c) AudioFile 2003, Portland, Maine
